We have a team of experienced recruiters that identify and credential exemplary anesthesiologists and CRNAs. Our anesthesiologists are board-certified and our CRNAs are certified by the NBCRNA. Many of our anesthesia professionals have subspecialty training and all of them are comfortable working independently. We rely on client feedback and prioritize coverage assignments for the anesthesiologists and CRNAs that are preferred by our surgical partners and their administrative staff.
Our billing is performed internally to maximize oversight and compliance. We are attentive to patient inquiries pre- and post-operatively. Just as our primary clinical goal is patient safety and comfort, the primary objective of our billing department is transparency and patient satisfaction. Our billing staff is attentive to details and experienced with the CPT and the ICD-CM-10 classification systems. We leverage EMR technology and our staff is proficient with cloud-based IT products to maximize efficiency and lower costs. We are adaptable to future technology paradigm shifts including the use of AI and machine learning to streamline the medical billing and coding process.
Equipment, medications and supplies are expertly managed by anesthesia technologists certified through the American Society of Anesthesia Technologists and Technicians. They have demonstrated managerial competency throughout the Covid-19 pandemic by keeping supply chains adequate to meet the needs of clients and patients. They have overcome operational strain and effectively forecasted and prevented critical shortages through effective communication with vendors and pooling supplies and resources.
Virginia Anesthesia Services has the experience and dedication to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations with respect to perioperative services. We are knowledgeable with accreditation requirements and have assisted client facilities with acquiring and maintaining certifications with respect to anesthesia services. We are proponents of healthcare technology, both in the OR and in our office. We were first adaptors of ETCO2 monitors for sedation-based ambulatory procedures.
